The Marc Jacobs bag range in 2026: where it stands

The bags on the US site are split into named families, not one wall of leather. The menu runs The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, The Scene, Crossbody Bags, Mini Bags, Shoulder Bags and Totes, 312 styles in all. On 1 September 2026, ownership changed — WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group acquired the brand from LVMH, and Marc Jacobs remained as Founder and Creative Director. Every price on the site carries the “SALE PRICE,” label, full-price stock included, so count a bag as truly reduced only when a “REGULAR PRICE” shows beside it. Figures here are US dollars on marcjacobs.com in the US as of September 2026, and they differ by country shop now and change without notice. A lot of people search “marc jacob,” but the label is Marc Jacobs, plural.

The Tote Bag

Drawn from archival designs, the flagship family launched in 2019, and it holds 105 styles today. As positioning goes, the brand attributes to Jacobs the framing line “No more Birkins, only Tote Bags”, which says it plainly. In outline it is a wide rectangle, carrying rounded top handles and the name in oversized block letters, debossed on leather and closed by a top zip. The Canvas Medium comes in at 13in by 6in by 11in in cotton canvas, with one interior zip pocket and two slip pockets. Check the straps, because Crossbody, Small and Medium include a removable adjustable webbing strap while the Canvas Large does not. Prices go about $150, $178, $198 and $228 for canvas by size, then jacquard at about $325 and $350, and full-grain leather at about $398, $498 and $598. The cheapest route to a recognizable marc jacobs handbag starts here, which is why students and commuters land here first.

The Snapshot

With thirty styles here, this is the bag most people picture when they hear the name. Modeled on a camera bag, it was conceived in a Parisian studio, the brand says, and debuted on the runway. Small and boxy at 7in by 2in by 4in, it wears tricolor colorblocking and the signature double-J hardware. It is made in Saffiano leather with a faille lining, closed by a dual top zipper rather than a flap, and the removable webbing strap has a 27in drop. Core styles are priced about $325 to $328, including the Snapshot DTM and the Colorblock Chain Snapshot, while the Vintage Floral version and Snapshot E/W Shoulder Bag sit near $358. Anyone carrying a phone, cards and a lipstick who wants the bag noticed will get on with it.

The Scene

The Scene is the newest family to win its own place in the navigation, and it runs to 70 styles. What it covers is a group rather than a shape: Small, Medium and Large Shoulder Bags, two Buckets, a Convertible Mini, a Chain Mini and a Wallet on Chain. Leather, crinkle leather, suede and denim fill the material list, the widest spread of any line here. Over the shoulder, or on a slim metal chain for the chain versions, is how carry works, so these are not top-handle bags. At $198 for the Scene Convertible Mini Bag and $228 for the Scene Wallet on Chain, the pricing opens. Above that sit the Scene Small Shoulder Bag at $298 and the Scene Small Bucket at $358, peaking near $698 for the Scene Large Shoulder Bag. Softer and far less logo-forward than the Tote is the appeal for the buyer this suits.

The Sack Bag

On the 2022 runway, The Sack Bag appeared as what the brand calls a slouchy throw-over-your-shoulder silhouette in premium leather. It holds no rectangle, collapsing against the body instead. In full-grain leather, The Belted Sack Bag acts as the reference version, with a magnetic closure, an adjustable belted shoulder strap, an internal zip pocket, cotton twill lining and a 12in handle drop. The Micro Crossbody Sack Bag opens the run near $198, then the Small Belted Sack Bag around $298 and a ceiling of $498. Seasonally, bow-detailed denim and nylon appear at roughly $258 and $358, alongside leopard nylon and canvas cargo versions near $398. Quicker than a zip, and less secure, a magnet fits people who hate hardware fuss better than crowded transit.

The Dual Bag

The most public origin story here sits with The Dual Bag, which also has the thinnest current shelf presence. Dua Lipa paired it with her look at the 2024 Met Gala after-party, where the brand says it first drew attention after its Fall ’23 runway debut. It carried the Spring 2025 campaign with Emily Ratajkowski, then returned in Summer 2025 led by Doja Cat. Rather than the main assortment, the MARCDOWN sale section is mainly where it appears as of 29 September 2026. Both prices display in this rare case, with The Large Dual Bag listed around $297 against a regular price of about $495, which is unusual. The shopper it suits took to the campaign imagery and will buy from what remains rather than a full color run.

Structured totes: Cristina, Dakota, Babe and Pop J Marc

The site holds a Totes category of 47 structured styles and a Shoulder Bags category of 80 apart from The Tote Bag. These are the leather bags that hold their shape rather than the soft canvas carryalls. Filed under Shoulder Bags because it gets carried that way, The Grommet Charm Cristina Tote sits around $658, with The Cristina Tote near $398. Nothing in the Totes category costs more than The Dakota Tote at about $798. Babe runs across three points, from the Babe Mini Vanity Bag near $178 to the Babe Mini Top Handle at roughly $298 and on to the Babe City Tote around $598. The Pop J Marc Work Tote sits at about $398, the Small Work Tote near $298, and these are the marc jacobs bags for a working week.

Heaven by Marc Jacobs

Started in September 2020 and art-directed from the start by Ava Nirui, Heaven is the youth-facing sub-label. In the brand’s words, it is a gateway into the sprawling and enigmatic omniverse of Marc Jacobs subversion. Bags sit between roughly $150 and $250 and tees from around $65, across 153 products in all. That leaves it as the cheapest way into a marc jacobs bag outside the canvas Tote. A David Rappeneau Shoulder Bag near $175, with the artist name carried on the product itself, is among current stock. With no successor named after Nirui’s exit, reported in January 2026, Heaven’s creative direction now is not brand-confirmed.

Every line at a glance

The table sets each current family against its shape, its materials and the US price band shown on 29 September 2026. The bands span ranges across sizes and fabrications, not one price for one bag. The top goes to leather and the largest Scene styles, and the bottom to canvas and Heaven. Price tracks material more than size: the same medium Tote is about $198 in canvas and $498 in leather. The Dual Bag row records a markdown, not a standing price. Every figure is US dollars on marcjacobs.com, varies by country and currency, and changes without notice.

Names people still search for that the US site no longer carries

Disappointment on the US site is where all four of these constantly searched names end up. Neither the J Marc shoulder bag nor the saddle bag is currently sold, so a search returns jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, ready-to-wear and the Pop J Marc Work Tote instead. The St. Marc is not in the current assortment either, and a search returns only a handful of Canal St apparel items. With no duffle bag in the results for that term, The Duffle is missing too. The current canvas totes are plain cotton canvas with block-letter branding, which makes a Monogram tote the fourth ghost. Rather than current marc jacobs bag lines, all four are archive names, so be skeptical of sellers offering them as new stock. With proof of purchase, the one-year manufacturing-defect warranty applies only to items bought from an authorized vendor.
